My Journey to Founding ISLA

As a mother of three, my children’s education has always been very important to me. My husband and I settled with our family in Mallorca, where we hoped to find the perfect school for our children. Unfortunately, none of the existing options met our expectations. Each of our children is unique—one thrives with the freedom to learn independently, while another prefers a structured academic approach.

It became clear that a one-size-fits-all system wasn’t suitable for our family. In 2024, I decided to take a bold step: I founded ISLA Academy— designed to provide individualised learning support for every child.

Whether a student excels in math or prefers hands-on activities like gardening, ISLA adapts to their needs. For example, we can challenge advanced learners while supporting free-spirited ones who may, for instance, learn to read and write at their own pace, even at a late age.​

We were incredibly fortunate to find a suitable terrain and buildings early on. Just outside Manacor. Transforming it into a beautiful learning space was not easy, but with hard work, it’s now a campus where children can flourish. While there’s always more to do, ISLA Academy has already become a nurturing environment that inspires growth.
